Free winter tution Free winter tutionWON-BUDDHIST CHERITABLE SOCIETY INDIA is organizing 4th and 5th year of in next two years of 10 years project of free winter tuition in six villages in the Union Territory of Ladakh supported by LAHDC, Kargil. The program is initiated by WON Buddhist charitable society India in 2021. 2023-24 year the program is the 3rd year of a 10 years project. The project was initiated with 25 students of class 3rd. Every year one grade syllabus will be added until it reaches to 12th standard syllabus. So, this year class 5th syllabus is added, class 3rd, 4th and 5th students are taught by a CAT (Community Assistant Teacher) in each village and the subjects are recorded in bilingual – Hindi and English with highly trained teachers who have been in the teaching line for decades in reputed schools of the national capital of India, Delhi. The purpose of running this project has two goals. One – unlike the regular education instituition it is not our goal to finish the subject in time but to make learning a fun and develop interest in the students towards study. Two – to make children get the benefit of the modern education by staying with their parents and respective villages and do not leave villages to the so-called cities in search of private coachings and tuitions. Therefore, in each village the CAT guides the students and make them understand the subjects and make sure that all of them are able to absorb the content easily. Each subject has been made easy to understand keeping in mind the academic levels of the students in the rural areas of Kargil District. Won-Buddhism plans to progressively expand its program to various villages in Ladakh. Each year, new centers will be established. In the first year, the program began with three centers: Wakha, Mulbek, and Karsha in Zanskar. In the second year, two more centers were added, namely Fokar Phoo and Zangla. Now, in the third year, two additional centers have been established in Henasku and Drass, which is known as the second coldest village in the world. As mentioned above our main goal of the program is to help the students in rural areas of Ladakh without going in search of tuition in winter to nearby cities like Kargil & Leh and in some cases like Jammu and Srinagar by paying expensive fees and staying away from their families. All our program is free of cost and students can avail the best opportunity of the subjects through highly trained expertise. Our constant endeavor would be to introduce student-need-based expertise to provide the best facilities to our students in Ladakh. Students are provided with school bag, notebook, pen and other required stationaries. |
